Original box and packaging with certificate of authenticity. The Jaguar XK120 is a sports car manufactured by Jaguar between 1948 and 1954. It was Jaguar's first sports car since SS 100 production ended in 1939. The XK120 was ultimately available in three body styles, all two-seaters and available either as: an open 2-seater described in the US market as a roadster; a fixed head coupé (FHC) from 1951; and a drophead coupé (DHC) from 1953. Certain Special Equipment roadster and fixed head coupe cars were produced were sold between 1948 and 1949 as an early production build for enthusiasts, denoted by an 'S' preceding the chassis number. The bonnet is rear-hinged and opens to reveal a detailed black and silver 3.4 litre Jaguar XK double overhead camshaft inline-6 engine. Both doors open to reveal a brown interior with a lighter brown “wood” dashboard with rear view mirror, a chrome and light brown 4-spoke steering wheel, detailed dials and a black handbrake, door cards have chrome handles and window winders, and there is a chrome handbrake and chrome and black gear lever and the pedals are detailed.
