Slab earrings are hand-cut from rough rock, shaped, and polished. There is little or no silver work, so the beauty of the stone stands out. Traditionally, slab earrings were made out of shell or turquoise, but now Kewa (Santo Domingo) artists are creating earrings in different stones. Kewa (Santo Domingo) artist Ronald Chavez made these fabulous earrings out of Jet and inlaid the side with Turquoise, Serpentine, Mother of Pearl Shell, Coral, Lapis, and Jet. These slab earrings will look fabulous with any outfit.
