Description: This natural sapphire was purchased as rough from in person at Rock Creek in Montana USA from a source I have been dealing with since the mid 1990’s. It was originally prospected from an alluvial plain and was alluvial rough which is considered to be the best quality rough by most cutters. The reason for this is because after thousands or even millions of years of tumbling down streams then having sediment drag across it in the current most weak pieces with fissures or cracking break off. This leaves a rounded naturally semi polished crystal of solid sapphire material. I cut this sapphire personally by hand into a faceted native pear cut which has excellent proportions and a very good cut grade with no windowing. Beautiful saturated dark teal color caused by the gemstones saturated blue color with very strong green undertones. Measures 6x4 MM with weight of 0.50 carats. Excellent eye clean clarity and crystal clear transparentness. You will be sent the exact sapphire in the picture. The photos have not been edited or enhanced in any way.
