New Borsalino 1970-1980s Black “DIAMANTÉ” HARE (Rabbit) Fedora 7-1/8

Description: Here is a New 1970-1980s “DIAMANTE” Borsalino Black Fedora, size 7-1/8. This is made from HARE, English Rabbit. This was found in that Borsalino hat box. When we removed it it needed no work at all!NO MOTH BITES! NO STAINS! PERFECT LEATHER SWEATBAND! We cannot find a thing wrong with this outstanding fedora!This hat appears to have never been worn, it’s perfect! Leather sweatband is perfect, NO MOTH BITES, No stains, just an excellent fedora! This belongs to my son and is not out of dad’s collection. It appears he bought it and never wore it or wore it less than a handful of times and stored it away.This is made from English Hare and Rabbit Fur. We haven’t seen one like this ever but it is extremely soft to the touch and is so easily “Hand-Bashed” to a pinched crown. We decided to leave it as a simple Center Dent because just a simple pinch on the crown shapes this perfectly! You can see we added a picture with that “Hand Bashed” pinched crown style.Dad cleaned (horsehair brush) & that is all! Read (NOTE) below about coat trolley string. It’s completely functional and securely attached to the fedora.We don’t know why it doesn’t come out consistently in all the pictures? It’s all the same color. Inside the home when we looked at it it appears to be a very very Dark Gray but outside it appears to be a Black? It’s a Beautiful color! The picture looking down from the top and the picture whole underside best reflects the actual color. What do you think? We have stored one of my grandson’s Borsalino’s inside now for over 2 weeks before listing these hat carriers and it is perfectly shaped when removed! Just had to flip the brim down. NOTE: so when we sent pictures to one of dad’s hat collectors who has an affinity for Borsalino's, he had to have the hat box. This hat box is no longer available in this sale. You can always find Borsalino hat boxes here on eBay. This collector help us date the hat (1970s-1980s) and the material. We were stuck on both. This collector thinks there maybe some Cashmere also but we will not say for certain. He wasn’t 100% certain either without being able to touch it. We actually measure the hat 3 times to determine the size, tagged or not, this is tagged size 7-1/8 and it measures to a perfect size 7-1/8 at 22-3/8 inches, this agrees with the Tilley Hat Sizing chart. It can easily be removed and cut down just for decoration or after removed it can be re-attached. We are leaving it like it is.
