Excellent (see description) The dee bit is popular with hunters and jumpers since the cheek applies pressure to the side of the horse's face to assist with turning. The mouthpiece is an offset double snaffle. It is sometimes called a "W" bit since it makes the shape of the letter W (see last photo). The mouthpiece tends to be severe, creating a double nutcracker action and applying more tongue and bar pressure. It is often used for short training sessions, especially to lighten a horse up if they are not responding properly to the bit. This can be a severe bit and should only be used by experienced riders This bit is new with hangtag attached. It was lightly handled in a store so there are some very light cosmetic marks, but nothing that will affect its performance in any way. It is still super bright and shiny. A very nice quality bit!
