The top rein works on the corners of the horse's mouth assisting in turning and guiding while the bottom rein acts primarily on the bars, helping with control and collection. The mouthpiece is the traditional single jointed snaffle. This bit has the shorter Tom Thumb style cheeks that are popular in the show ring. "Centaur" and the size are marked on the mouth. Includes curb hooks and chain. This bit is new with hangtag attached. It was lightly handled in a store so there are some cosmetic marks on the mouthpiece from the curb chain and rings, but nothing that will affect its performance in any way. It is still super bright and shiny. A very nice quality bit!
