Description: Offered is a Hantel pewter petite male enameled harlequin figurine in Dollhouse miniatures 1:12 scale, new with tags. He is over a quarter of a century old, and would be a striking addition to any miniature collection. The painting is wonderfully precise and all his joints are workable and he can sit, stand or lie down rather dramatically. How perfect he would be placed on a shelf in the nursery or in a toy store. He has never even been displayed and still bears the original tag stating Made in Scotland. This is pre-owned but in excellent condition as it was always boxed and protected. It is a vintage piece from the 1980s or 1990s, from a wonderful high quality collection containing works by some of the world's finest miniature artisans. This dollhouse miniature has the scale being one inch to the foot. It is a decorative item intended for adult collectors, and is not a toy. This item comes from a non-smoking and no pets environment. ABOUT THE MAKER:The Hantel company produced finely detailed, hand painted, jointed pewter miniatures, and was originally established in Warwick England in 1973 to manufacture quality pewter giftware. During those very early years Hantel produced a whole range of small sculptured animals, miniature pewter ware and porcelain jewelry. In 1980 they produced their first jointed miniatures. Most of these figurines were characters from 19th century literature. In the same year the company moved to Scotland. In 1999 Hantel Ltd was taken over by Tower Enterprises Ltd. and unfortunately the Hantel name was retired in 2007.
