Description: Description The AIRCHILD Six Sixty Compressor is a sonic interpretation of the famous vintage 660 studio compressor. We have been using the original 660 and 670 (stereo) compressors in our studio for years, which are always rated as the best compressors. The classic guitar compressor has created a very recognizable tone, especially throughout the history of country music. However, we felt that there were already too many clones of that legendary circuit and few other variations. Classic compressor circuits tend to squash the sound like a limiter, but that effect is often valued in certain genres of music. We wanted to create a compressor that works like a studio compressor, increasing the richness of harmonics and evening out the range without squashing it. The AIRCHILD Six Sixty simply makes you want to play more, increases sustain without squashing the output, gives the whole tone a richness, and adds feeling to your playing. I aimed for Lowell George's slide tone and Mark Knopfler's singing lead/rhythm tone. â– Controls OUTPUT: It may sound simple, but the output is a key feature for properly setting the compressor. If you want to get the most out of the compressor, keep the output below unity (it interacts with the threshold control, so raising the threshold will make it louder. Turning the output to make it stronger input to the amp will increase the gain and lose compression. You'll get more sustain and harmonic richness, but the compression effect will be less audible. Tone: One of the biggest complaints about compressors is the effect they have on EQ. A typical compressor is noisy and distorts the top end. AIRCHILD's EQ helps to alleviate such typical problems and give the overall EQ a natural balance. Turning the knob counterclockwise makes the bottom stronger and the top weaker, and turning it clockwise makes the top stronger and the bottom weaker. This allows you to get the best sound possible from the compressor. You can balance the EQ for different setups for each amp. Blend: Blend blends the dry signal with the compressed signal, allowing you to fine-tune it, so to speak. THRESHOLD: The threshold means more or less compression. Turn counterclockwise for off, turn clockwise for full compression. The blend control allows you to adjust the balance to your liking. Experiment with the threshold control, paying attention to how it interacts with the output control. The higher the output, the higher the gain, so the more you use the compression, the less effective it will be. Adjust it to your liking. Power: Use 9V/DC center negative only. Power consumption 20mA. (No built-in battery option) Payment Please pay within 4 days after purchase. Shipping Please refer to Shipping and handling.About other area, please ask me.
