See our other items! for our "Easy Weld" sets for further details. Our Budget sets are very similar to our Easy Weld sets, although they do not include our own unique "Easy Weld" system. (The Boxing Plates clamped to the framerails in the pictures are the "Easy Weld" Plates as they were easier to clamp to the rails for photos) With all this being said, we STILL guarantee that they will be better than our competitors in fit and finish, or your money back!! Hows that for a "Budget" set? 1928 - 1931 Model A Ford Chassis boxing plates Fitment Will fit 28, 29, 30, 31 model a cars or trucks Overview When building a street rod, throwing a modern day V8 motor in older day cars and driving the higher speeds that we drive today, boxing in the original flimsy frames is a must. Our boxing plates are cut undersized to allow for a nice sized V gap for great weld penetration, without the worry of grinding away too much weld and sacrificing strength when grinding the welds flush. If you choose our Easy Weld Sets instead, (see our other items) they have steps or outward notches incorporated into our boxing plates to help prevent them from slipping inside the frame and making fitting and adjusting even easier, especially on older abused frame rails. (Easy Weld plates are shown clamped to the frame in the photos) Whats included This is a 6 piece set cut from 10 gauge steel (slightly thicker than 1/8") to do 1 complete frame. The two longer pieces (per side) run from the rear of the frame, right up to the front cross member. The main plates are made in 2 smaller pieces for ease of shipping and to reduce shipping costs. The smaller 2 pieces for the frame horns may not be needed, but can be used (whole thing or trimmed to needed length) with certain independent suspension front crossmembers, and/or if you are wanting a cleaner look up front and are not using the front splash pan. Shipping We prefer UPS shipping, as it is easier and cheaper. There is no signature required on these shipments, (unless requested) so they can be delivered to a home or business easily.
