Product Description: This offering is for one set/pair of down tube shifter spacers. They are made from a light aluminum alloy and include a notch (or back-stop) that limits the shifting range to a functional range (i.e, helps to avoid a slack cable). There no no markings to indicate a brand or manufacturer, but I can confirm they were included with a wholesale lot of vintage Suntour drivetrain components. As a result, my best guess is they are probably 80's vintage and were probably made in Japan. Please understand these spacers were generally matched with friction-only down tube shifters and pre-dated the use of fat spacers/adapters that often accompany index shifters. Additionally, these thinner spacers still allow for clean down tube mounting on most vintage steel frames. In other words, these thinner spacers/adapters are designed to accommodate most shifter bosses (with square-shaped...12 mm x 12 mm base platforms) found most often (or so it seems) on each side of a vintage 28.6 mm steel down tube...resulting in a nice/clean look. As alluded to above, I acquired a small box of these shifter spacers with a wholesale lot of Suntour drivetrain components. So the packing was "bulk packing", but these small/spare parts still show well.
