The occasion for the Intercollegiate Boat Race. The Grand Union Hotel was located on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, New York. The hotel began as a boarding house, built by Gideon Putnam in 1802, but grew into the world's largest hotel, before it was demolished in 1953.The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 15 inches (28 x 38 cm). The picture fills most of it, measuring about 9 x 11 inches, with a caption below it. The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print.
