Description: This one-cent black / buff Liberty postal card issue of 1881, Scott UX7, was mailed from Princeton, New Jersey to Newark, New Jersey in 1883 and was cancelled by a duplex with a Negative-X killer. The addressee was pre-printed: 'Theo. F. Johnson & Co. / Teas, Coffees, Spices, &c.' A second Princeton cds from the following day and a Newark receiving cds also on the front. Verso is a hand-written note ordering, in part, 50-lbs of Java Coffee. Mild horizontal crease from right edge to near halfway across card (see scans).
