Description: This is a first-generation COPY of script from the NEWHART TV series (not a transcript or Photoshop-created imitation). The original 1990 script was signed in person by Bob Newhart and includes a note explaining why the script’s final pages are different from what was aired. Copies of the script and signature are being offered here. The episode is titled “The Last Newhart” and is considered by many as the best series finale in TV history. In this memorable episode, Japanese investors buy everything in Dick and Joanna’s town except the Stratford Inn and convert the town into a giant golf course. The sitcom revolves around a couple from New York to purchase and run an Inn in a small Vermont town. The show stars Bob Newhart, Mary Frann, Peter Scolari, Julia Duffy, and Tom Poston with William Sanderson, Tony Papenfuss, John Voldstad, Thomas Hill, William Lanteau, and Kathy Kinney in supporting roles. Lisa Kudrow (Friends) guested in this episode and Suzanne Pleschette had a memorable cameo in the episode’s final moments. The cover and note card have been reproduced in color and a sheet of acetate has been added to protect the cover. The one-sided interior pages have been copied in black and white, and the backing is sturdy black card stock. This makes for a great conversation piece for your coffee table or a unique gift for the classic TV fan in your life.
