Description: Really neat early pot. It appears to have been covered with a black covering such as stove paint. Estate find. Measures 9-1/4" high x 10-1/2" wide at the top rim. Nice and solid with the imperfections you'd expect from an early piece. No cracks or weak areas. Makes a nice ring when you tap it. There is a mark on the bottom that resembles a number 8, but on close inspection, looks more like the shape of a pot with a handle. I'm not an expert, so unable to positively identify it or the potential manufacturer. A great addition to your collection! Thanks for looking!
