You can return to the stock firmware if you wish by loading it from Nikon's website onto an SD card. Condition notes: Standard cosmetic wear for an older camera (grip is a bit worn). Lens does not appear to have any noticeable dust, fungus, etc. OEM battery holds a charge but may not be at 100% capacity. Third-party shutter release cable is new, only used a few times. Battery door is a bit hard to open at times but still opens and functions. Even though this camera is a bit older, it still can serve as a great prosumer/enthusiast digital camera, and paired with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm macro lens and M/M2 tube (neither included) could serve well as a DSLR scanner for film negatives!
