Description: This is a pristine example of an extremely rare VARIFRAME viewfinder in brushed chrome masked for 24x34 M format Nikon Cameras, marked Nippon Kogaku. 3.5, 5, 8.5 & 13.5 cm focal lengths are provided for. The selection ring functions perfectly and is smooth and tight. Parallax correction is to 3 feet. Markings in feet indicate this was meant for the American market. Serial number M90188 engraved on the upper accessory shoe indicates the 24x34 M format. The viewfinder is also stamped "Made in Occupied Japan" on the lower accessory foot. It comes complete with the rarely seen focusing magnifier meant to be placed over the camera viewfinder with the original very fine chain attached to the viewfinder body. Brushed and bright chrome areas of the finder are all in mint condition without any indications of wear, no scratches, rubs, dents, dings, marks, chips. Optics are crystal clear with no scratches, dings, pits, rubs, fog, haze, mold, fungus, polishing marks or dried lubricant.
