Description: Noritake Japan "Somerset" (set of 8) Fruit/ Dessert/ Sauce Bowls VTG #5317 discontinued EUC This is a (set of 8) vintage retired Noritake "Somerset" Fruit/ Dessert/ Sauce bowls These bowls measure about 5.5" inches in diameter and stand approximately 1" inch tall and will hold approximately 2-3 ounces of liquid The "Somerset" pattern from NORITAKE Japan was only made from 1952 until 1973, so it is roughly 60-plus years old. It is an older pattern that is very elegant with the white fine porcelain decorated with dainty tan and gray scrolls around the rims with larger pink and blue flowers and leaves scattered around the inside body of the bowls, trimmed with a thicker gold line around the rims. This is a quiet, understated and classic pattern with it's pastel multicolored pieces and in the thoughtful design. This set would be a nice addition to Noritake you may already own or another China as accompanying pieces.
