Description: This April 23, 1761 4 Pence note was printed by James Davis. Although higher denomination notes from this series such as the 20s & 30s are relatively common, lower denominations such as this 4 Pence note were heavily circulated and are now incredibly scarce. This was the lowest denomination of the series. Of the 5,000 originally printed, only 1 other example is known to exist which is also being offered by us. Consider this a discovery note. Fantastic value for the rarity. Date: April 23, 1761 Denomination: 4 Pence Friedberg #: NC-113 State: North Carolina Certification: PCGS Grade: 3 Comments: “Damaged, Backed”
