Description: Presented today is this beautiful pair of Northern Plains roaches, with woven rosettes. The rosettes each measure 2 inches in diameter, and seem to have a depiction of a butterfly sewn into them. i believe the fur is wolf, but i could be mistaken. This piece come from the estate of a dear, departed friend, who was part Cheyenne and spent the '60's and '70's on the Pow Wow circuit in the Northern Plains. It almost undoubtedly dates from that time, and was probably part of her dancing costume. It would make a wonderful addition to your Native American art collection.
