Description: Here's a very beautiful and well know pattern by Northwood. It's called Intaglio. Made ca. 1899. At well over 100 years old it's a true antique. It is usually found decorated as this one is. This is the footed Jelly Compote and it is 4 3/4" tall. It's custard glass and it has beautiful red fire when held to the light. It also flouresces under a black light the same as Vaseline Glass (see photos). It's in excellent condition with no chips or crack. There is some ware of the decoration.
