Description: NOS NEW CAMPAGNOLO Super Record Headset Adjustable Cup or Lower Pressed Cup Bearing Race Italian/BSC/French This original Campagnolo bearing race is correct for either the lower (pressed) cup, or the adjustable cup. NOTE: This auction is for the steel headset bearing race, NOT for the alloy cup assembly (alloy cup plus steel race) It is pretty straightforward to remove and install with a 350 or 375 degree oven or toaster oven. To remove the old/worn race, heat to 350 or 375, remove from the oven using protective gloves, and first use a small thin-bladed screwdriver to pry it up little by little all around. When the small thin-bladed screwdriver is too small to finish the prying, switch to a slightly larger blade, moving around little by little until the old race comes out. Use small motions, but move quickly so it doesn't cool down before the race comes out. To press-in the new race into the old cup, heat up the old cup and position the room temperature (or cold from the freezer) new race and it will either fall into place, or you can use a vice with the old cup resting against the new cup to push it in to position. Of course, be sure that the new race bottoms-out into the cup and make sure that it goes in straight. You may be able to press in the new race at room temperature, but heat (cup) and cold (race) will make it easier. Please see my other auctions with Campagnolo, etc. I will combine shipping.
