Carved with a Scottish Highland Bull’s Head, this is an original ‘Wooly Bully’ pipe for those old enough to remember the song of that name in 1965 recorded by fellow Texan, Domingo "Sam" Samudio and his group “Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs.” Not signed, this is decidedly handmade in Turkey some years ago by the tarnish on the case clip and coloration of the meerschaum. Expertly carved from a quality block of meerschaum, the detail on this pipe is extraordinary. The figural is obvious, but the detailed accents on the base of the stummel are so finely intricate.
