There are 19" between each of the feet when opened up. From the warehouse of a custom lamp maker, likely for use with an eyeball shade, as those were pretty popular in the 70's. I made a LARGE purchase from the estate of a former custom lamp maker here in Michigan. The workshop and warehouse have been closed up for about 25 years and the gentleman was in business for 40 years prior to that. Lots of really unusual and hard to find lighting components and fittings. Most date to about the 60's and into the 70's.
