He holds a sign that reads "Days Til Christmas". That sign holds the 2 number blocks. The base is painted in a drum-type pattern and holds several wrapped gifts, a ball, and a bear wearing a hat that is pulled down over one ear. This nutcracker belonged to my husband's grandmother and we do not know the age or maker of this one. I noticed that the words "Days Til Christmas" on the sign are not fully visible - it almost looks like it may be supposed to look like a scrolling type sign - or maybe it was simply cut incorrectly - I have no idea - see last photo.
