Description: We are offering two police department concert programs. 1.) Concert Program for what we believe may be the New York City police force - circa 1880s. (3 3/4" x 4 1/2") The city is not named, but the concert and supper were held at the Metropolitan Hotel, and J. H. Chase, City Marshal is named. There is a Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, and in our research, we have located the name of a John H. Chase of New York City who lived during this time, although there was no mention of him being a City Marshal, so we don't know for sure if he is the same person. The covers show three policemen trying to coax a little dog to get closer so they can pull him over a garden wall. Back cover shows the backs of the policemen. **CONDITION** - Excellent. The original ribbon that tied together the covers is missing, and we have replaced it with another ribbon. 2.) 28th Annual Ball Announcement / Concert Program of the Cambridge Police Mutual Aid Association, held on January 9th, 1901, at Union Hall, Central Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts. (4 1/4" x 6") With a very nice lithograph of an old stone house on a stream. Includes a dinner menu and four pages of dances (dance partners are not filled in). **CONDITION** - Excellent.
