Description: Here is a kit to build an early diesel locomotive never before available in O Scale-- the WEMCO 110-ton Dual Visibility Cab. These locomotives, some of the very first diesels built by the Westinghouse Manufacturing Company, were used in the 1930s on several short line railroads such as the Northampton and Bath. This kit is designed to use the abundantly available Lionchief 44-tonner locomotive chassis and convert it into a scale model of a unique pre-WW2 era engine. I have included photos of my personally assembled Lehigh and New England build as an example. Each kit consists of two body hood sections and a cab section. All parts are printed with high-quality UV cured resin for the smoothest finish. You will have to cut and bend your own handrails (I recommend using 0.050" wire), but no modifications to the donor engine are needed besides removing the LED headlight harnesses from the donor shell-- this kit will fit around all of the existing mounting holes and electronics. Ken's Model Miniatures specializes in kits, scale models and custom parts for the hobbyist. All of my models are designed, fabricated and assembled right here in the United States. In addition to model train kits, I also have model cars and planes in multiple scales (including reproduction Tootsietoy, American Flyer and Marx parts), so take a look at my other items and see what I'm offering.
