The brown on some of them is iron and that makes them Mahogany Obsidian. The whitish dusting is a light brush of quartz which occurs quite commonly. I like the rough stones as they haven't been handled much .(These are from a 30 lb chunk I bought and broke off in smaller pieces. ) The 3 pieces weigh a total of 14 ounces .
