I found this horse shoe while crossing a stream/small creek on some property near Roanoke, Texas (Denton County) when I found this horse shoe. There were no horses on this large piece of property that at that time. The horse shoe had been there so long it has calcified or fossilized. This item was found approximately in 2012. Most of this property is gone now and they are building new houses in the area. I worked in Roanoke from 2003-2014 and never saw any horses on this property.
