Dimensions 11" x 4 3/4" (27.5 x 11.5 cm). Weight 350 gram.Made in USSR circa 1960 of the thick metal sheet. Good condition - details on the photo. Very nice and rare item.This Plaque was taken from DOSAAF school after Soviet Union disintegration. DOSAAF - Voluntary Society of Assistance to the Army, the Air Force and the Navy. It was the name of a paramilitary society of the Soviet Union. The goal of the society was preparation of reserves for armed forces. It was a powerful militarized organization, with its own aerodromes, radio clubs, parachute towers and firing ranges. I am selling this item from Ukraine now, the post is working a little slow, but as usual dependable. I was born in the USSR and I was 26 years old when Ukraine became independent in 1991 in accordance with Article 3 of Treaty on the Creation of the USSR (1922, December 30). I know very well the difference between living in a totalitarian country and living in a free one. These items are historical memorabilia, just to remember this time, so that totalitarian regime doesn't happen again in the future.
