Description: Old Navajo Sterling Silver Blue Turquoise Native American Pendant 18in Necklace. This old sterling silver Native American pendant was handmade by a Navajo artisan. The blue turquoise stone has an amazing brown matrix design. The stone is set in a smooth silver bezel with a handcrafted sterling silver braided rope encircling it. A second silver twisted rope follows the curved edges of the sterling silver platform. The bottom of the pendant has four scallops with a silver raindrop in the center. The pendant is 1" tall including bail. The necklace measures 18" long and is stamped 925 for sterling silver. There are no stampings or hallmarks on the pendant, which is common for older pieces, but it tests as sterling silver. This vintage Native American sterling silver and turquoise pendant necklace is in very good condition, as shown in the photos. It has some minor surface wear and age-appropriate oxidation. It has not been professionally cleaned so as not to compromise the beauty of the natural patina. Please see the photos as they are part of the description and to assess the condition.
