This stamp is hand stamped and these style facing stamps were often indicative of the maker as well as the tip opening and facing curve. I believe there are thoughts on A being a facing done by A. LELANDAIS who was also known to use the same STEEL EBONITE Artistic Facing blanks. Either way, this is a very special piece and would be an incredible addition to any great collection!
