Description: This is a colour map of Hampshire which as been taken very carefully from a book of maps printed in 1997. There is also a small picture of Winchester Cathedral on the map. It is in excellent condition and would look fabulous framed. The map was originally produced by Pigot & Co in 1840 for the book 'British Atlas, Counties of England'. This was described as one of the most detailed country atlases of the period. There is a very detailed descriptive text accompanying this map which contains vital historical data from the time of the Industrial Revolution. The map measures approximately 12.5" x 8". I have other maps for sale and will combine postage prices if you buy other maps. It has been kept in a plastic bag and will be sent to you in a card backed envelope.
