Description: This is a genuine antique book, literally a piece of history. If it were sentient, it could tell of over a hundred years full of lives it has touched and hands it has passed through. Every year, more of these irreplaceable treasures are lost-- to fires, floods, etc., or simple carelessness. It is my hope to rescue as many as possible and help them find homes where they will be cherished and passed on to future generations. Allof my antique leather books are treated with Cellugel (which is safe for all book materials) to preserve the leather and inhibit deterioration from red rot. The leather has pre-existing scars and wear. All leather books ship carefully packed in a box. There is no date printed inside, but this volume is similar to others dated 1861. I can find no evidence that T. B. Peterson was in operation after the 1870's. A few rough-cut page edges. No writing, tears or odors.
