Description: Artisan Miniature IGMA Dollhouse OOAK Sculpture; "Burnt Offerings” by C.J. DobieThis is a wonderful, one-of-a-kind (no molds) polymer clay sculpture of a woman: entitled "Burnt Offerings”, which will be reflected on a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed by the Artist; C.J. Dobie - member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA). This sculpture is of an elderly homemaker named Hilda, holding what was supposed to be a holiday dinner centerpiece.Hilda has brown eyes and long gray hair, pulled back and wound into a bun, but there are a few "stragglers" that have managed to get loose and hang softly around her face. From the look on her face and the turkey, now burnt to a crisp, it's no wonder she is looking frazzled. Being old school, she's wearing lacey petti-pants and a slip underneath her green house dress, cinched at the waist with a brown leather belt. A muslin tea cloth is draped over her shoulder and her blue/white striped apron is tied loosely across her hips. Hilda has taken to using Oven Gloves, like those she's seen on baking shows, and are the kind of mitts that also cover your arms. Clearly Hilda is not a novice when it comes to burning things... She's chosen her festive green and red gloves for this occasion. Hilda can easily stand on her own without a base, so please adjust her slightly if needed after shipping. Her clothing has been slightly stiffened. I normally try to leave certain elements loose so that you can remove them, in this case, the oven gloves and roasting pan (turkey is glued in place) are loose and placed over her hands. I can attach them more securely if you'd like; just let me know. The tea towel and apron have been tacked on with glue, but if you are comfortable making changes, they can be gently removed and shouldn't result in any damage. Hilda was colored with pastels and carefully painted to add a more realistic look to her complexion. No separate value has been assessed for the props/accessories; however, are all included. I'm sure wherever she lives next, you'll enjoy getting to know her as much as I have.
