Description: Original 1902 antique color lithographed map of Cincinnati, printed more than 120 years ago. The map has excellent historical detail, and it labels streets, railroads, parks, hospitals, cemeteries, and four ferry lines on the Ohio River. A text key at the lower right identifies prominent buildings and hotels. Dashed lines show horse-drawn streetcar lines, and solid lines with little hash marks identify steam railroads, including the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati & St. Louis and the Cincinnati, Hamilton & Dayton. Among the other named places and features are the Miami Canal, Eden Park, House of Refuge, Jewish Cemetery, Mount Hope Inclined Plane, Walnut Hills, Clifton Heights, Woodburn, Barrsville, Merchants Hotel, Zoological Garden, Mt. Auburn, Hughes High School, Masonic Temple, Corryville, Fairmount, two railway bridges, and a wagon bridge linking Cincinnati with Ludlow, Covington, and Newport, Kentucky. The image area measures 23.8 x 30.6 cm [9½" x 12¼"], and the map was published by George Franklin Cram, Chicago, 1902. Condition: It is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with no marks, rips, or tears. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. It is an original, authentic antique map, not a reproduction or modern reprint. It is fully guaranteed to be genuine and would make a very handsome display in your den or office. It would also make a perfect gift, and we'll include our helpful framing tips for your reference, along with a photocopy of the dated title page from the book in which it was published.
