Description: An original 1920s Arkansas County, Arkansas "Affidavit For Investigation In Cases Of Insanity" filled out and signed. The affidavit declares a named woman to be insane and requests an inquiry so that she can be committed to the Insane Asylum. About 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Good condition as shown with only minor wear and very legible handwriting. This listing also includes a 1933 letter on Arkansas sheriff letterhead concerning a question about two people who were both declared insane and sent to the Hospital for Nervous Diseases. 8 1/2" x 11". Good condition with typical toning from age and some handwritten numbers on the back. An interesting piece of history and an awesome addition to any collection.
