Description: Description: This original gouache painting is approx.. 16 3/8” high x 11 3/8” wide (sight size) and matted to 22” high x 16” wide. This piece was painted on a pressed paper board. It was mounted on or glued down to a matte board and had a brown matte over it. The piece was taken out of the frame because of damage to the frame and was put into a poly-archival bag for safe keeping.It is a well-executed depiction of a Native American Indian chief in headdress that captures the majesty of our Native American heritage. The painting is signed “W.E. Ryan, 1931” in the lower right. There are some tack holes on the margin. Overall, the painting is in good vintage condition. Please view all 5 photos.
