Description: This is an original $15.00 Reward Wanted Poster from the North Carolina Penitentiary in Raleigh, NC for the apprehension of Joe McLeod who escaped on July 16th, 1932. His description reads as follows: White man, 21 years old, height 5 ft. 7 inches, weight 138 lbs., brown eyes, brown hair, medium complexion. He has long knife scar down left cheek, round scar in eyebrow and right eye, tattoo on left arm below elbow. He was sentenced from Harnette County for 3 to 4 years for receiving stolen goods knowing it to be stolen. His reference was his father and mother, Joseph & In'a McLeod, Lumberton Rd., Fayetteville, NC. The wanted poster is signed by George Ross Pou, Superintendent and is in very good condition.
