Strand which changed after the 1831 4th edition). Size: the sheet measures approximately 83mm x 141mm. Description: A miniature county map of the East Riding of Yorkshire showing towns (with approximate distances in miles from London), villages, parks, rivers and roads. The mail-coach roads are distinguished by the use of two lines with other roads shown with just one line. Cartographer / Engraver / Publisher: engraved by Sidney Hall, published by Samuel Leigh. Provenance: 'Leigh's New Atlas of England & Wales', London, 1820-31(the first 4 editions were published from Leigh's address at 18 Strand). A further seven editions were published up to 1843 but from a different address. Condition: Very good condition. Light age toning. A few faint age spots to the left/lower margin, not affecting the printed area. Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition. Ref: #03055
