Description: In May of 2000, the Carlie Bell collection of surplus space hardware was auctioned off on Merritt Island, Florida. Charlie had worked for NASA, at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). Mr. Bell amassed an incredible collection of surplus hardware and tooling, from Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle. So much so, it took 3 weekends to auction off all he had collected. This large clear plastic Apollo LM "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" panel came from that sale.Based on its size, this plastic cover seems to have been used on one of the control panels. (Approximately 30" x 30" / 76cm x 76cm)It is made from 2 pieces of thin clear plastic, sewn together in the middle and was folded into quarters. It is in very good shape with no tears or chips. The red anodized aluminum placard in the center is sewn in between two layers of this clear plastic and also in excellent shape. On the front of this it reads: REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHTLDW420-10113-7 On the back is stamped the number: LDW420-10115-33 Here at Orbital Surplus, we collect odds and ends from anywhere in the galaxy. So depending on what empire has collapsed, space freighter has crashed or Transport "got lost", we never know what we will receive next. However, we have lost our lease on the asteroid we have called home for more than 30 solar cycles and have to move. So we are finding stuff we forgot we had, and this is where you luck out, cause it all has to go!
