Description: Beautiful original Bjarne estate rusticated pipe, handmade in Denmark by renowned Danish pipemaker Bjarne Nielsen. This vintage freehand pipe is a wonderful example of Bjarne's design and craftsmanship. The engraving mark is on the back panel between the bowl and the stem. It is difficult to read and the photos are not very clear but it is readable in person--it is marked: BjarneHandmadeDenmark Bjarne began full time pipe-making in 1973 until his death in 2008. Bjarne pipes are noted for their easy smokability, their style and craftsmanship. This Bjarne pipe is from the estate of an avid collector of authentic luxury lighters and pipes.
