Description: Bright and clear antique pedestal cake stand made in American, circa 1910, by the Indiana Glass Company. (also made by Beatty & Sons, manufactured in the 1890's. Horsemint is a plant used as a natural medicine). The pattern is HORSEMINT. Approx 9.5" wide (outside of fluted edge) and 4" high. No chips or flea bites, slightly uneven base (non-issue). Early American pressed glass and very nice crystal quality! A three mold(ed) pattern with 6 horsemint wildflowers and it's foliage. The base has classic diamond detail and a six-panel balustrade stem. Perfect for tea sandwiches, finger foods, or a bevy of holiday cookies and bars. Elevated serving pieces SAVE space on a full buffet or table. Other serving items can be placed semi-underneath the pedestal. I love using pedestal compotes and pedestal plate stands just for that purpose AND they make your artistic array of foods look even better. Please take a peek at my eBay store for many other fine vintage serving pieces. Mixing patterns and even colors make a much more beautiful assemblage (see last photos). Thank you for looking.
