Description: Album Detail The Dock of the Bay is the first of several posthumously released Otis Redding albums, and his seventh studio album. It contains a number of singles, B-sides, and previously released album tracks dating back to 1965, including one of his best known songs, the posthumous hit "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay". His final recordings were finished just two days before Redding's death in a plane crash on December 10, 1967. The album was released in 1968. Album Condition This album is in overall great shape. The outer jacket is very clean with no rips, tears or creases. There’s a tiny bit of shelf wear on the front top. The vinyl is a solid near mint, has a nice clear sheen, and play tests quiet. The bright yellow Volt labels have no marks. It has an original plain paper inner liner. Seller Details I’ve been a vinyl record fan for over 50 years. I search for those hidden LP gems in thrift shops, rummage and estate sales. I target albums rated VG+ or higher. I clean, inspect and test play each LP before adding it to the inventory. I use record mailers from Bags Unlimited, for several reasons. One, they are heavy duty and do a great job of protecting albums in transit. Two, their design helps alleviate corner denting. Third, they are easy to open, without damaging the vinyl. I’ve had great success with this packaging for years.
