OTTAWA LOG SAW Hit Miss Gas Farm Engine Webster Magneto Motor Steam Tractor WOW

Description: This a pretty decent old Ottawa log saw setup. It is fresh from an old collection. It was restored many years ago and still displays pretty well. It has a low tension Webster magneto as can be seen. Everything moves and interacts as it should. It has excellent compression and it shouldn't take much to make noise with it although I haven't tried. It has a couple well done old repairs on the saw parts which is very common on these units. It also has a slight dent on the bottom edge of the gas tank which doesn't seem to affect anything. There is a priming cup added to the magneto bracket as can be seen. The clutch seems to work as it should and there doesn't seem to be much wear on the cam gear and governor gear teeth. It sits on the original transport wheels and after the addition of a blade (which turn up fairly regularly) you should be ready to saw wood. This is a true hit and miss engine and I believe the clutch could be removed to add a belt pulley if you'd like. These units are real attention-getters at the shows!
