Description: About: A great piece of historical publication. Filled with black n white photos, illustrations, and great ads. Articles, poetry, Native American advocacy and other items relevant to the time and region. Originally a Southern California publication, by 1905 this covered the West, although still largely California. This issue here has a great section on the San Jose and Santa Clara Valley, including Santa Clara, Mountain View, Palo Alto and Los Gatos. First page is a full page ad selling land and homes in ALL part of Palo Alto, the Ideal Home Town. Condition: This is a solid GOOD copy. Cover toning and edge chipping & tearing. The front cover is torn along the spine, not separated, approx 2 inches. Name neatly penned on front cover. Internally, no marking and no clippings. Page clean, photos a vintage vision to behold. Flaws aside, an overall nice copy. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. Gift or collection quality. I will happily answer any further questions. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
