Description: This is a very interesting old handmade picture frame. Civil War Motif. Engraved on back by who I would assume is the person who made it "SG" in 1871 This frame was a gift from the Grant Family to another local family in 1898. (Included a small note from a family member stating this) The Frame is made of textured copper with rolled edge decoration. Crossed sabres above a small photo window, and "U.S." at the bottom. Frame has a foldout back stand. Measures 2 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" wide. This is a very cool old piece, and nice to have a touch of provenance with it! #032724JJB
