Description: Unread Oxford Book of Common Prayer BCP 1979 Compact Pocket Episcopal 7402 This is a beautiful red compact edition of the pre-Revised Common Lectionary Book of Common Prayer. It is bonded/imitation leather, but quite flexible. The typeface is very pleasant. The paper quality is consistently superior with increased opacity. Please note the certification year if that is important to you. These older editions have much higher quality than the current Oxford print runs. I found no writing, the binding is in perfect condition, and the gilding is in near-perfect condition. I was surprised that the pages didn’t all stick, since it clearly was not used. Remarkable to find one in this condition! The font size and typeface is my much larger than one finds in modern editions. This is helped by a great typeface and very little ghosting or “bleedthrough.” The presentation page was removed somehow.
