Description: PA Judge Francis Shunk Brown Letter Archive Prominant Men Gov William Stone 1900. Large lot of letters sent to Francis Shunk Brown, who was a descendant of 2 early PA Governors and was a well respected Judge in PA/ Philadelphia, as well as serving as PA Attorney General. These are all letters sent to him giving a yes or no response to dinner invitations at various clubs/ meetings/ events, all dated between 1899 and 1905 from what I noticed, with the bulk being 1901 and 1902. There are many laywers and judges and other prominent people here- Even a telegram from Boise Penrose. Some of the replies were most likely written by secretaries, but some are from the person himself. There are 2 letters hand signed by PA Governor William Stone. These were all in a scrapbook (that was falling apart) and some do have glue/ paper residue on the backs along the top. Most of them do not but they have a small hole in the upper left corner from being pinned together instead of glued in. Most are in pretty good shape. The group along the bottom below the gap are groupings that are all pasted together along the top (probably a water glue). Comes as seen, free shipping
