Helps protect the wound bed, aids in keeping a moist healing environment, and is non-traumatic to the patient during dressing changes. Xeroform impregnated dressings are similar to the petrolatum Gauze dressings, with the addition of 3% bismuth tribromophenate. For use when mild medication or deodorizing are required, such as post-operative applications, 1st and 2nd degree burns, and skin grafts.
