I originally ordered one of these to wear under my helmet for Ren, tired of wearing a hoodie and wanted more protection to the back of my head for hard hits with rapier, Shinai and Rawlings synthetic. This looks so much better on the field. Very adjustable, I think this size will fit all but the very smallest (down to the average 16 year old I’m thinking) and very largest among us. I tried to get some photos to give you an idea the construction and thickness of these arming caps - you can see the manufacturer's photo does nothing to show you what they're like. Sorry I had to include my ugly mug, but at least you know what you're getting! See how thick the padding is as it comes up over the head, almost like a crest. When you put your helmet over it the cap compresses, conforming to the shape of your head as well as providing excellent protection.
